I fly to Lubbock tomorrow to rehearse with the band then we're off to South Padre for Spring Break! I just hope I can stay focused long enough to play a show while MTV and Girls Gone Wild are running around half naked. Not my cup of tea… but that's entertainment for some I guess. I hope all my Texas Tech and UNT friends will be down to watch. I look forward to seeing you guys. Wreck 'em Tech!

I'll be flying from Dallas to Lubbock (the top of Texas), then driving to South Padre (the bottom of Texas), then driving back to Dallas (East Texas), then back to Lubbock, then back to Dallas… all within two weeks. This is a big state, so that's like driving across the entire country. We should've scheduled our shows a little better. I've never been to South Padre though, so maybe it will be worth it. Man… I will miss my wife.

Hopefully while I'm in Lubbock I'll at least have the chance to lay down some fresh tracks with Curtis and my producer Scott Faris. Thank goodness Curtis and Russell will be finishing their recording degrees in May. After that, they'll be relocating to Dallas so it won't be so crazy trying to rehearse and play shows on the road.

Oh yeah! My buddy Matt Jennings (Mason Jennings brother), just picked up a tour with The Beautiful Girls from Australia. They'll be touring across the U.S. during the month of April, so don't miss it. He's a talented musician and his new album is great.
